Given that these stone elements are exposed to environmental weathering and considering the specific nature of the material—in this case, Pietra Serena—the most appropriate methodology was selected based on the type of degradation encountered. Every phase of the intervention (before, during, and after) was photographically documented, both in general views and close-up details.

(*) Structural Note: During the initial phase, a significant issue was identified regarding the windowsills and cornices on the first floor. This was due to the exfoliation (scaling) typical of Pietra Serena, which in this specific case occurred horizontally. The size and weight of the scales were considerable—reaching up to 6 kg—making standard consolidation with threaded rods impossible. Consequently, a structural consolidation proposal was developed in coordination with the Works Management (Direzione Lavori) and submitted to the SABAP (Superintendency), which granted formal approval.
